"Williamsburg: The Story of a Patriot"

The longest-running movie in the world

(March 31, 1957 – the present)

The two best lines in it:

*  When asked whether he would return home to England, rather than stay and support the Revolutionary war, John Fry (Jack) replied, “I am home.” It has been said that this symbolizes the beginning of the United States of America.

*  When his son was about to go off to fight the Revolutionary War, John Frye told him, “Your legacy may well be poverty.” This referred to the fact that the war would be an all-or-nothing endeavor. If the Colonists won, they would retain their plantations and way of life. If they lost, they would have to start over at rock bottom.
