Congratulations, Joe Moore!

Joe Moore is seen with Jack in a publicity shot for "Sign of the Ram" (Season 12)

Joe Moore, who appeared in 11 episodes of Hawaii Five-0, is being honored with the Gold Circle Award by the Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He has been a news anchor for television station KHON2 in Honolulu for the past 43 years.

In addition to appearing in several television shows that filmed in the Islands, he has appeared in several movies and stage plays, some of which he wrote, as well. He served with Pat Sajak of Wheel of Fortune fame on Armed Forces Radio while in Vietnam. The two remain good friends to this day and have appeared together in several stage productions, perhaps most notably The Odd Couple, at the Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu.

Congratulations, Joe! No one deserves the Gold Circle more!

P.S. Many thanks for sending me the above picture, Joe, all those years ago, when MofH50 and RJL were first starting out.
