I watched this episode of John Oliver this week. All of it is so true and very sad. I'm not sure at all how this could be reversed. The almighty dollar seems to cancel everything including common decency. That's why I wish I could visit Hawaii in a time machine before all the insane growth. I wonder if Jack would regret his part in bringing tourists to the islands if he could see what it is like today. Back then, he was lauded for increasing the economy, which was seen as a good thing at the time.
