The Danger is Not Over in the Islands

Even as residents of Lahaina, Maui, struggle to put their lives back together, "red flag" warnings are being issued for all islands except Kauai. Temperatures are high, underbrush is dry, and the trade winds are up.

Even now, firefighters are battling a brush fire near Mililani Town in central Oahu that has consumed more than 1300 acres. Reports are that the fire is 85 percent contained, but the "red flag" warning is still active.

Let us say a prayer for the Islands, that firefighters will be able to extinguish the fires before another catastrophe occurs.
