Snopes Investigates "Hawaii Five-0"

Snopes surmises that "Bored, She Hung Herself" (Season 2) was shelved not because of a copycat death and a lawsuit, but because the episode was controversial and needed to be withdrawn voluntarily.

In the episode, a character dies after practicing autoerotic asphyxiation. In actual fact, she was killed not by her boyfriend, who practiced the technique, but by a teenage neighbor whom she rejected.
