Seen from the Glass Elevator

I took this picture from the glass elevator at the Ilikai on September 20, 2009. Has it really been so long? Sadly, it has been.


We are near the top as we look across the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and the Ala Moana Beach Park. Just across the peninsula on the far side of the beach park is the Kewalo Basin. The Waianae Mountains are seen in the distance. Between the Basin and the Mountains, yet out of view in this picture, are downtown Honolulu; the Honolulu Harbor, where the Aloha Tower resides; a light industrial area; the Daniel K. Inouye Honolulu International Airport, Pearl Harbor, and the Barber's Point lighthouse.
