When I was a teenager, I admired Steve McGarrett because he was a man of honor and integrity. He knew what was right and followed that moral compass. Now as an adult, I realize that the entire Five-O team along with the supporting personnel - Doc Bergman, Che Fong, Jenny Sherman, John Manicote, etc. - all of them followed Steve's lead. They took their jobs seriously, they treated one another with respect and friendship - a great team! This is the way I wanted adults to be. Sadly, it's not always the case today. But I'm sure glad that I had all of them for role models.

Yes. The entire team treated each other with respect and friendship, even though Doc and Steve butted heads sometimes. LOL

I’ve been very greatly influenced by Jack Lord. He has given far more to me than I have given by way of this website. One of the many things he has given me are lessons learned from statements Jack made in interviews. The one that most clearly stands out to me is something he said Marie told him after Stoney Burke was cancelled:  “It’s not what happens in life but how one responds to what happens that counts.” I have learned from Jack that I need only get up, dust myself off, and try again – as he did when he made his way back into television and, ultimately, into Hawaii Five-0.

Caught me unawares? Of course. Okay.

Since Steve's Girl is my user name, it's obvious who my favorite charaker is.

Why? Because Steve has a no-nonsense approach to things and I do, too. That's certainly the reason why Hawaii Five-0 became my favorite crime show immediately.

The problem is: I often forget that other people are not that way, so I take other peoples words at face values and misjudging their intensions.

I think Steve had the same problem, leading to people failing to understand him and the kind of person he was.

Aloha, well, I like both main characters of the Original Hawaii 5-0 TV-Series. "Steve" was always the leading figure, with the know-how to manage every difficult situations. "Danno" was more sensitive and quiet on "Steves" site, and a man of good qualities. Both Gentleman were the ideal match, also from their visual style. Unnecessary to say, that I miss them very much.
