I took down my Wordsmith's Page website this morning. With so many changes in the publishing arena, I've decided I don't need to publish my new book. I most enjoy my R&R (rest and recreation / rest and recuperation) writing, which doesn't bring with it nearly as many headaches as writing for publication does. Ah!!! Feel the cool, gentle breezes that come with release from bondage.
It seems to me that Jack and Marie came to feel the same way about acting. As Marie said, they thought success would solve all their problems, and while it solved some, it opened up a whole new set of problems. Sure enough, after Five-0 ended, Jack and Marie were quite happy with his painting, her sewing, and their philanthropic work.
"For everything there is a season" (King Solomon, Holy Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Sorry to hear that you won't be publishing your book. But I so understand the freedom that comes with your decision. Life is too short not to enjoy it, and our choices affect that enjoyment. I hear that relief in your words.
As for the good things in life, they are still there! Maybe just a little more difficult to find. Keep looking!
I do love the photo you chose. I'm such an old soul!
Right, there is a season for everything, people are changing with the years. For myself, I really miss the good things in life, there is not much left anymore.
I'm very sorry to hear that you have decided not to publish your book. I was very much looing forward to it. But it's understandable. Like you quoted: "For everything there is a season."
That's true, of you are pass 65 years, everything changes and you feel not so young anymore. Take care of yourself and your health, step by step.
Enjoy life while you can do what is good for you There maybe a time when you will reassess things like the seasons we all change
