Ho-ho-ho! Wouldn't you know it! A scant day or two after announcing that the boat tours would be closed for the foreseeable future, they have resumed, effective today.

The USS Arizona Memorial has been having a rough time this week. First, it was closed due to a major water main leak that threatened to contaminate the water supply on Joint Base Pearl Harbor - Hickam. As soon as that was repaired, the National Park Service closed the Memorial while work is being done on a pier. Whether it is the pier outside the Visitor's Center or where the tour boats land at the Memorial was not specified. In any case, the Memorial will not reopen until work is complete.

Good one, Honu! You're right. It wasn't a tour boat, but they did show the memorial well.

I also thought of the episode "Time and Memories" (Season 3) when in a flashback, Cathy Wallis asks Steve for directions to the Arizona Memorial. Steve ends up borrowing a boat to take her there himself. Not exactly a tour boat, though.

That's the episode that came to my mind, too, Steve's Girl. I can still see Wo Fat sitting at the back of the boat, looking just a little too innocent to be believed.
