James Hong, who appeared in four episodes of Hawaii Five-0, has been awarded a star on Hollywood Boulevard. At the age of 93, he is the oldest recipient. He is also still acting! According to IMDb, his five most recent works are still in post-production.
Mr. Hong appeared as James Watanu in "A Thousand Pardons, You're Dead" (Season 2), as Tot Kee in "The Devil and Mr. Frog" (Season 2), as Eric Ling in "Air Cargo - Dial for Murder" (Season 4), and as Soong Chien in "Presenting... in the Center Ring... Murder" (Season 7).
And I thought then and still do the Memory Plaque is more suitable and Jack would have prefered that. And another thought: the stars are part of the walk, meaning people walk over them in the real sense of the word.
Do you remember when we discussed presenting Jack with a star on the Walk of Fame?
He is so deserving, and it should have happened a long time ago. Congrats, James Hong and thank you for sharing your gift for acting!
Thank you for that link, H50. Congratulations, Mr. Hong!
