It Brought Back Memories

It's been 15 years since Jack's lithographs went up for auction on Ebay. In the earliest days, bidding was frantic! Five seconds to go, and someone would place a bid that was out of the atmosphere.

On one occasion, that proved to be to my benefit. I was selling one of Jack's lithographs when two bidders got into a heated battle for it. The lithograph that I had purchased for a few hundred dollars brought me $1300! Can you believe it!?!

I had a bidding experience again tonight. No. I wasn't bidding on Jack's art, but I might as well have been. The starting bid was $130. The item went for $220. No, I did not win.

I think I'll stick to "Buy It Now" items from now on.

Wow, that was a tidy profit. I too bid on a canvas painting done by Jack back when the auction was on e-bay. I did get it too! I am now trying to sell it but have no idea how to go about it as I have never sold anything on e-bay. Perhaps one of your readers would be interested. I am open to suggestions!

I remember the $1300 battle, H50.

And I remember my battle for "What Aloha Means"which I finally won. Nerve-wracking like you so suitably called it, Honu, with 3 seconds or the like to go.

And yes - today I would go for the "B.I.N." option, too.

Sniping - it's really nerve-wracking. I'm sure that some people find it exciting, but I'm with you - I prefer the "Buy it Now" option every time!
