Hawaii's Last Surviving Veteran of the Pearl Harbor Attack Passes Away

Sterling Robert Cale, a resident of Aiea, was 102 years old when he passed away in January. Having served in both the Navy and the Army, in both military and civilian positions, he gave 57 years to government service. As a retiree, he donated hours to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial (the Arizona Memorial), greeting guests to the visitors center. His contributions extend far beyond these few.
